Harrold grew up in the Midwest and studied at De Pauw University in Indiana and the School of Visual Arts in New York City. He has worked extensively coast-to-coast painting and drawing landscapes, cityscapes, and seascapes. He is currently living in Mount Vernon, Washington on a farm studio and has a studio in Los Angeles, California.
My work has developed into a style of dimensional sculptures of fields, gardens, and pastures with animals and tractors. What motivates me is to look for glimpses of wonder and 'simplexity' in nature's colors and designs- from small flowers and leaves to large fields & forests. The greatest compliment I can receive is when people of all ages smile when they see my work.
