The San Juan Islands Museum of Art & Sculpture Park (IMA) has worked for 10 years to make sure there is a strong visual arts presence on San Juan Island. We've continually "raised the standard" with top-notch exhibitions and installations at both the Museum and the Sculpture Park. And we've supported the schools, galleries, artists, and the other museums on the Island throughout these efforts.

The combination of the Community Theatre, as the anchor point for the performing arts, and IMA, as the anchor point for the visual arts, has created a cultural identity that surpasses communities many times our size. We believe that you share this view!

All of the visual arts offerings listed below have happened while IMA brought together, under one umbrella, two fine art organizations. We've completed the transition. We've developed strong systems and procedures. We are confident and strong as we move to a new space at 232 A St. #5, and as we work to complete plans for 2011 shows at the museum, "Art as a Voice" Programs at the Theatre and the "Artist in Residence" Program at the Sculpture Park. We are also preparing to launch the 2012-14 Capital Campaign, which will guarantee a permanent home for IMA here in Friday Harbor.
