FARM-TO-TABLE DINNER: Lopez Island at S & S Homestead with Zev Robinson

S & S Homestead will host a Summer Solstice celebration with Henning Sehmsdorf and Elizabeth Simpson on their biodynamic farm, with dinner featuring food from the farm.

Elizabeth and Henning will introduce their books on sustainable farming, Eating Locally and Seasonally: A Food Book for the Community of Lopez Island (2021) and Fifty Years of Biodynamic Farming: Essays From the Field (2023), both of them available for purchase online. Scottish artist Zev Robinson will discuss “The Art and Politics of Eating.”

Kindly be aware that for the Farm Dinner, we request that no vehicles with combustion engines be used to arrive at the event. Attendees may opt to travel using an electric vehicle, bicycle, or by walking. The event organizer can also coordinate transportation for guests to and from the ferry via Island Rides and an assembled group of drivers at an additional cost of $30.

Zev Robinson’s exhibition, “The Art and Politics of Eating” will be on view at the San Juan Islands Museum of Art in the North Gallery June 8 - September 11, 2023.
