About the Event

Join us on Saturday, October 10 for this free Family Art Days class with instructor Memes Bouwman!

Talking Sticks, a sacred instrument used to hold respectful attention while gathered in groups, have long been an important part of the culture of many nations of the Pacific Northwest Coast. To honor Indigenous People’s Day, learn about this tradition and make as many as the time allows.

Family Art Days (FAD) are designed for kids aged 5 and up to explore fun, creative projects alongside a parent or other supportive adult. All materials for each Family Art Days class are provided by SJIMA.
