Join us on Saturday, October 3 for this free Family Art Days class with instructor Amy Plant!
Become inspired by the Mayan tradition of worry dolls or muñecas quitapenas. Study the folktale origins then make your own set using wire, colored yarn and wool roving. Child and caregiver will explore the connection between crafting, storytelling and emotions, and take a ritual home to continue. Receive a cloth pouch to keep your little dolls cozy and safe.
About Family Art Days (FAD)
Family Art Days (FAD) are designed for kids aged 5 and up to explore fun, creative projects alongside a parent or other supportive adult. All materials for each Family Art Days class are provided by SJIMA.
