About the Event

Join us for Family Art Days in the Orchard!

Children (5 and older), accompanied by an adult family member or friend,

are invited to make art projects in these free and fun outdoor workshops

designed and led by inspiring instructors.

Saturday, July 1 Natural Weaving with Caroline Smith

A craft practiced in communities across a myriad of cultures, weaving is traditionally practiced in the community and allows weavers to tell a story with every weft, or infuse some magic into each thread. We’ll go over beginner patterns and methods, and look at a few different styles of looms that weavers have used throughout history, dating back to the Neolithic period.

Families are encouraged to register early to guarantee a place in a workshop.  While the class is complimentary, be sure to RSVP as space is limited! Secure your spot today!

Saturdays at 540 Spring Street Friday Harbor Questions? Email fad@sjima.org.

Family Art Days are sponsored by Suzy Wakefield, ArtsWA, Don Pollard, David Ralston, and anonymous.
