About the Instructor - John Nippolt
John Nippolt is a painter, wood carver, teacher, and writer who brings a lifetime of creativity and curiosity to his workshops. Before moving to San Juan Island over ten years ago, John led the art department for public high schools and middle schools in Hawaii, where he inspired countless young artists. His colorful paintings often reflect his love of surfing and the sea, and his teaching style is all about making art fun, approachable, and full of discovery.
