Lumi Verdugo

Of My Hands 1962–2018
When in her exhibit, most experienced a sense of peace and calm and respite from busy lives, exactly as Verdugo intended. The body of almost 56 years of work expresses Lumi’s joy in experimenting with glazes, firing and Raku pottery.

Educated in Chile and having taught at Lakeside School in Seattle, Verdugo has made Friday Harbor home since 2001.

This exhibition was part of a yearlong theme 2018 THE FEMALE GAZE Part 3 – The Woman as Visionary and Creator.
