SJIMA may be small, but is mighty in its impact, bringing you world-class exhibitions. Your donations support our outreach, social media, free family art programs, and abundant materials that expand all visitors’ enjoyment. Also, your gift maintains the security & HVAC systems and helps pay for signage, banners, utilities, printing, and supplies.
We are honored that the San Juan Island Community Foundation (SJICF) online grant catalog will include the San Juan Islands Museum of Art and would love your support. The catalog opens on Wednesday, August 18 and SJIMA will then be sending out our unique link to this program.
The San Juan Island Community Foundation will match donations to each organization up to the first $1000 raised. Donations must be received during the dates of the program. SJICF will cover all the bank fees for donors and benefiting nonprofits. We will provide a tax receipt to all fair donors.
Each day of the online grant program will include giving challenges and bonus grants as follows:
AUG 18 - CATALOG OPENS!
Game: Highest $ Donations
$500 bonus grant to nonprofit receiving the highest total $ value for online donations.
AUG 19 - UNIQUE DONORS
Game: Highest Number of Unique Donors
$500 bonus grant to nonprofit receiving the highest # of online donations
Must be unique donors (example – donors can’t give $5 donation 20 times; your dog can not donate with your credit card; kids CAN donate with your credit card – great way to involve them in local philanthropy!)
AUG 20 - FACEBOOK TRIVIA
Game: SJI Trivia Facebook = $500 Bonus Grant
SJICF will post an obscure SJI trivia question on Facebook. Anyone can email their answer to SJICF (no Facebook comments accepted). The correct answers given on this day will be entered in a drawing.
AUG 21 - BONUS GRANT WINNER
Trivia Bonus Grant Winner Announced
Trivia drawing - winner picks favorite nonprofit to receive a $500 bonus grant!
AUG 22 - FINAL PUSH!
Catalog closes at 11:59pm
All donors will be entered in a final drawing at the end of the program. The winner gets to choose which nonprofit will receive a $1,000 bonus grant.
All donations must be made to SJICF directly to qualify for the match. The donations can be made by check payable to SJICF, by credit card over the phone at SJICF or online through the Virtual Fair Catalog portal. If donating via check, the donor should note the organization they wish to benefit on the memo section of the check. Checks made payable directly to the nonprofit or on their website will not be considered for this program or matching funds.
